Believe it or not, sophomore year is the perfect time to start thinking about life after college. For those of you taking organic chemistry in your junior or senior year, it is even more imperative for you to start planning the future.
If you are a science major, and especially if you are a chemistry major, you will have many choices. You may be considering graduate school, medical school, another type of professional school, or industry. These are the traditional choices for most science students. However, as a chemistry major, you will possess skills that are highly prized in various walks of life. For example, did you know that people such as Janet Reno (U.S. Attorney General), Knute Rockne (Late Notre Dame Football Coach), Margaret Thatcher (Former British Prime Minister), and Linus Pauling (Only Person to Win Two Unshared Nobel Prizes) were all chemistry majors in college?
